ASBA Looks for Bipartisan Solutions on Key Issues

The American Small Business Alliance is calling on the new Congress to work in a bipartisan manner as it addresses the many critical challenges facing small business and America.

"It's time for our leaders to end the partisan wrangling that has hamstrung Washington for the last few years," said Joel Marks, ASBA's Executive Director. "Too many politicians rather score cheap political points that fight for what's in the nation's best interest."

ASBA continues to seek sensible solutions on issues such as health care, education, tax fairness and regulatory reform both nationally and in the states.

MSBA Prepares for New Legislative Session

The Maine Small Business Alliance (MSBA) is off and running in the 122nd Legislative Session which convened Decmeber 1 and runs through June 30, 2005.

"We're talking to our members to make sure we're representing their interests in the Maine Legislature," said Deb Cook, MSBA's Executive Director. "Though health care will continue to be a big focus, we are expanding our scope to cover a broad array of critical small business issues."

Since its launch in 2002, the Alliance has become a valuable, respected voice for Maine's small businesses. The group has been a leader in fighting for affordable, accessible and qulaity health care through Dirigo Health and has served as a liaison between the public policy leaders and the state's small businesses.
